Aileen Traynor

Aileen has a Master in Social Work and holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and has spent 16 years working in and managing youth programs both in the USA and Australia – specifically personal development, recreational, therapeutic, leadership development, employment training and mentoring programs for young people and adults.
After moving to Australia in 2005, Aileen managed a program transitioning disengaged young people into employment, education or training through personal development and outdoor education. She has since supported local communities to adapt and deliver this program model with Victorian Indigenous communities as well as with young parents. Aileen is passionate about working alongside Indigenous communities and now supports the planning and delivery of IYLP.
Since May 2009 she has been working as Manager, Youth & Family Services at Australian Red Cross, who also support Aileen in her participation with IYLP.
